You might wonder why dog shows are so important to reputable breeders.  Although many people show dogs for fun, the real purpose of dog shows is to evaluate quality breeding stock in order to maintain the integrity of the breed.  Every breed has a detailed written description of the ideal dog called a “Breed Standard”.  This includes the dog’s appearance, movement, health, and temperament.  Judges evaluate a dog’s conformation, temperament, and structure, looking for characteristics that allow the dog to perform the function for which it was bred.  Dogs that most closely conform to their Breed Standard are rewarded.  Dogs that have strong records of success have been evaluated and rewarded by many different judges, which makes him or her likely to produce high quality purebred puppies.

Whenever possible, we place our “pick puppy/ies” in show homes as a way to continue to validate our breeding program.  We’re tremendously proud of their success and thankful to their families for their support.  Here are some of Earendel’s Rock Stars.
